Traveling By Train:

From London: St. Pancras:
The cheapest tickets between London and Nottingham are available from Midland Mainline (www.midlandmainline.com) but must be bought well in advance.

There are also regular services to Nottingham from Birmingham, Derby, Leicester, Crewe, Sheffield, and Leeds.

Turn right out of the main station exit (not the smaller, Station Street exit) for an easy 5 minute walk to the city centre. The Broadmarsh bus station is on the right, after approx 250m (Carrington Street).

Traveling by Bus to University Campus:

From Broadmarsh Bus Station, City Centre (for Nottingham Train Station):

North and West Entrances to the University:
Indigo

East, South and West Entrances:
Indigo, 18, 32

These buses are usually purple or red and give change.

From Beeston (For Beeston Train Station):

Indigo from Beeston Bus Station (about 10 minutes walk from the railway station along Station Road)

The Nottingham City Transport services numbers: 12, 13/13c and 36 also pass near or through the campus and can be picked up from stops near the market square in the city centre. These buses do not give change; passengers are required to have the exact fare ready.

The Nottingham City Transport Unilink service (34) – an orange bus – also runs from the Broadmarsh Centre via Angel Row, Derby Road and QMC and stops at various points on the campus. The second stop on the university campus will take you closest to the Law and Social Sciences building. See University Map (below)

This bus requires the exact fare of £1.50.

Traveling by taxi to University Campus:

There are taxi ranks throughout the City Centre and immediately adjacent to the main railway and bus stations. The journey to the campus takes about 15 minutes. The Average cost is: £6.00

From East Midlands Airport:

Bus:
Trent and Barton Bus Indigo;
Skylink Nottingham (Train Station).

Buses leave from outside the Airport Departures hall.

Taxi:
Taxis can be found on the terminal forecourt. The cost of a single/one way journey to the University is approximately £20.

 

From M1 Motorway

Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. Turn right at The Priory roundabout (about 4 miles from M1), then left at next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance.
